HANDZ UP MUZIC: CREATING THEIR OWN WAY  

Established in 2006, Handz Up Muzic is quickly growing into an independent label to watch. Founded by co-owners Raj Desai, Minesh “Cheeks” Patel, and Curtis Moore, the label has successfully stepped into an arena of it’s own.  Based in Mobile, Alabama, a city where talent is plentiful but opportunity has yet to catch up, Handz Up Muzic has chosen to bring their movement to the rest of the world.  

Inspired by the success and movements of once independent music labels No Limit, Cash Money, Bad Boy, and Death Row, Handz Up Music is all about the drive to be heard.  Currently in the hands of Hip Hop Pioneer Consultant, Wendy Day and a strong team that operates in both the streets and the office, their grind and dedication is thoroughly present.  

“We are really focused on staying independent for as long as possible,” says co-label owner, Minesh “Cheeks” Patel. “With the right marketing and promotions, we know that we have the ability to create a good situation that will allow us to showcase all of the talent that we possess.” 

With plans that include the release of their first project, The Mobillionarez, Handz up Muzic also intends to release solo projects for each of the members of the five man collective. With these future plans already in the process, Handz up Muzic continues to prove and map out their road towards longevity in this industry we call music.
